The Greater Chicago Food Depository invites you to join us on Thursday, May 5 at 9 a.m. for a panel discussion with Kathryn Edin, author of the bestselling book “$2 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America.” This free event, hosted by the Woods Fund Chicago, will focus on the daily struggles experienced by millions of Americans living in abject poverty.
Local experts, including Food Depository CEO Kate Maehr, will join Edin to discuss the consequences of “$2 a Day” poverty in our community and opportunities to change this reality.
