Confronting Pharaoh: A Training for Faith-Rooted Social Justice Advocacy

In partnership with the Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance, Community Renewal Society is offering a 2-part training for congregational “faith-in-action” teams to learn more about faith-based justice advocacy in order to build power and make lasting change in the lives of our neighbors.

Community Renewal Society's Annual MLK Day "Faith in Action" Assembly

This year’s assembly will blend public prayer and historical witness to Dr. King’s legacy with conversations with city decision makers and a mayoral candidate forum on jobs and public safety. Our attendance at this event will help ensure that community voices are heard by elected officials like Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, and will build power and momentum toward campaigns to prevent violence, fund public education and create jobs.
