Lenten Worship Opportunities

Lent is a season of intentional reflection and introspection as we journey in our faith towards the cross.  This can be a time of restoration and healing, helping us to look deeper into our hearts and explore our relationships with Christ and one another.  This Lenten season, St. Luke’s is offering a variety of worship opportunities intended to enhance and enrich this meditative time.“Catechism: To Sound Down to the Ears” is a Sunday sermon series which explores how Luther’s Small Catechism serves as an enlightening resource which aides in our understanding of the Sacraments, Creeds, Ten Commandments and Lord’s Prayer.  Copies of the Small Catechism are available in the Narthex for those who wish to receive a copy.“Hidden with Christ" is a contemplative mid-week worship service using the new liturgy by Lutheran church musician Richard Bruxvoort Colligan.  Reminiscent of the Holden Evening Prayer service, this liturgy marries traditional Lutheran texts to new and simple tunes to open up a space for each of us to return to the Lord our God and prepare for the new life being born again in us and the entire world.  “Hidden with Christ” will be held every Wednesday evening from 6 pm – 6:30 pm.  For more information about this liturgy, click here.St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Logan's Square is located at 2649 N.
