LSNA's 50th Anniversary

St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Logan Square has a long history of working side by side on community issues with our neighborhood organization,Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA).  This year is LSNA’s 50th Anniversary, and the organization is highlighting community heroes.  Several of St. Luke’s current and former members and many partners were nominated as Community Heroes; some of them include:

  • Pat Kuhlman
  • Pastor Erik Christensen
  • Pastor Bruce Ray and his wife, Karren Ray
  • Pastor Frank Showers (the pastor of St. Luke's Church of Logan Square from 1980 to 1991)
  • Ellen Ray
  • Laura Leon

LSNA's mission is to convene a network of neighbors, schools, businesses, social service agencies, faith communities, and other organizations to help the thriving communities in Logan Square, Avondale, and Lathrop Homes collaborate. LSNA is a renowned community based organization that is committed to empowering and maintaining these communities as diverse, safe, and affordable neighborhoods in which to live and work, learn and grow.Nancy Aardema, LSNA’s Executive Director invites St. Luke’s’ members and friends to LSNA’s 50th Annual Congress (annual meeting) on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.  The meeting will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kelvyn Park High School, which is located at 343 W.
