Event sponsors St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Logan Square, the Logan Square Neighborhood Association, and the Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO) have been working together to bring local, neighborhood issues center stage – literally. From noon to 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday the groups will be using the West stage to feature great neighborhood acts  - local bands, singers, dancers, and spoken word artists – with messages centered around prominent issues in the community and around the city.  Marriage Equality in Illinois, support for the Affordable Health Care Act, and fighting food insecurity in Logan Square will be just some of the issues addressed. This new programming is in addition to all the street fest staples - great indie music, street food, and cold drinks – in one of the most talked about neighborhoods in the city.  With the popular Brazil Fest on the other side of the fest grounds, event planners are expecting record numbers and looking forward to lively weekend. The Boulevard teams up with Brasil Fest for double the entertainmentBrasil Fest Chicago 2013 is the second edition of the only Brazilian street Festival in the Midwest.  The festival’s primary goal is to present and promote Brazil’s remarkable cultural diversity through music, dance, art, culinary and more.Brasil Fest is for everyone.
