Upcoming Events to Support Lathrop Homes

December will bring a couple of very important, informative events to support our neighbors at Lathrop Homes, which as we’ve discussed over the last year, is at serious risk for losing many public and affordable housing units in the new Master Plan.On Tuesday, December 10 LSNA and partner organizations will be hosting a Public Accountability Assembly on the Lathrop Homes master plan at Armitage Baptist Church, at 2451 N. Kedzie Blvd. Several local officials will be on hand to answer questions directly related to their position on the future of Lathrop Homes. The event starts at 6 pm with registration & seating; the program will run from 6:30 to 8 pm. We would like to have a delegation of St. Luke’s members at this event to support this important cause. (We would like to report the number attendee at an upcoming planning meeting for this event.)Also – on Saturday, December 21, 2013 the Ecumenical Alliance will be hosting a Posada event to bring attention to the plight of Lathrop Homes.
