54th Annual LSNA Congress

logoDate: May 17thTime: 4:30 for registration (5-6:30 for the Congress followed by a walk on the Bloomingdale Trail from the school to Humboldt Blvd.)Where: Stowe School, 3444 W. WabansiaWhy walk on the trail?  We want to symbolize the need for affordable housing and neighborhood schools in our community.  The trail is a lovely park but without a plan it is leading to a huge amount of gentrification in our community.  We are asking groups to bring banners that they are willing to unfurl along the trail fence so people below are able to see our message. On another note LSNA is starting a committee that focuses on the state budget.  As you know they have done trainings around the budget (fair tax, bank swap, LaSalle St. tax) at MAC meetings.  The LSNA want to be sure that the we stay well informed and able to speak out on these issues. If anyone from St. Luke's is interested in being on this committee, they should contact Nancy Aardema:Nancy AardemaExecutive DirectorLogan Square Neighborhood Association2840 N.
