LGBTQ Book Studies

To kick-off our LGBTQ Justice campaign, we are hoping to hold two book studies in March.

We Were Baptized Too: Claiming Gods Grace for Lesbians and Gays is a 20- year book written by two leaders in the United Methodist Church. The book study will include a supplemental article or two to make sure that other perspectives about the experiences of other LGBTQ people within the church are also captured.

Queer Virtue: What LGBTQ People Know About Life and Love and How it Can Revitalized the Church was written in 2016 and offers a fresh perspective on the essential contributions that the LGBTQ community offers the Christian church.

If you are interested in participating in one or both of these studies - please add your name to the appropriate sign-up at the front of church and indicate whether you would like the church to purchase the book for you (and pay on arrival) or if you will purchase on your own. In the last couple weeks of February we will contact all those who have signed up and pick a good date to host each of the studies.
