Three Reasons to Join Our Bible Study
Lent is a season of reflection and hope. A season where we are invited, as Christians, to engage in a Spiritual Practice that brings us closer to God and allows our daily actions to mirror the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the season of Lent, St. Luke’s is hosting a weekly Bible Study to support you on your Lenten journey. Below are three ways the Bible Study will help you grow closer to God during Lent.
- Ask questions. As we read the Scripture each Tuesday that will be preached upon the following Sunday, we are encouraged to ask questions. What is God saying to me in this passage? What can I learn from this story, and how can I apply it to my life?
- Be curious. Curiosity is an important facet of religion, and together we can use Bible commentaries, studies, and texts to dig deeper into the history of the Scripture and what it is teaching us about God’s heart.
- Build relationships. At the core of Jesus’ ministry were deep and meaningful relationships. Meet new people at St. Luke’s through Bible Study, and form the types of relationships and community that will sustain your faith throughout Lent and beyond.
We hope to see you at our next Bible Study! You are welcome to drop in whenever you are available, there is no reading or work required ahead of time. Simply come as you are, and together we will study the Scripture and grow in our faith, together.
