Holy Week at St. Luke’s

Whether this is your first or hundredth Holy Week, St. Luke’s warmly invites you to keep these special days with us. The mystery of Christ’s death and resurrection is so deep and so holy that it takes days and lifetimes to unfold. Holy Week is the church’s annual experience of the heart of the Christian faith.

Vigil of Easer: Resurrection of Our Lord

Vigil of Easter, April 16th at 7:00 p.m.

This is the night of salvation! At the Vigil of Easter, we gather around fire, word, water, bread, and wine, proclaiming through story and song that ours is a God who continuously brings life out of death. Check out a reflection Pastor Erin wrote in 2019 about why she LOVES the Easter Vigil.

This liturgy lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, and will be followed by a celebratory potluck reception in the fellowship hall. **Please bring a treat to share!

Easter Sunday: Resurrection of Our Lord

Today Christ is risen, and we gather together with astonishment and joy. In the light of morning, we celebrate the resurrection dawn that makes all things new. With thanksgiving, we celebrate the baptism of Adeline Michelle, child of Jillian Madden and Nicholas Arjona.

Join us for a free Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt volunteers needed!

Our partners at Grace Church are once again teaming up with Unity Park to host a community Easter Egg hunt. This is a community event that draws hundreds of families and it takes committed volunteers to make the event happen. The Egg Hunt will be at Unity Park on Saturday April 16. We need help the week before preparing the eggs. There are a variety of ways to be involved on the day of- we need folks to help setup and clean up, we need greeters and volunteers to run different activities and games. We need a crew of folks to hide the eggs and set up the hunts (egg hunts happen every 30 minutes). We also need an Easter Bunny, people to direct the crowd, and others to help hand out prizes. Please sign up to volunteer and invite your friends and family to help too.

Here's the volunteer sign up so get all your friends and family to help! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050D4BABA92BA0F49-grace
