"When I Feel Safe I..." Held at St. Luke's

WhenIFeelSafeIOn Wednesday, April 18 Casa Central and Heartland Human Care Services to celebrated Chicago’s youth artists at St. Luke's.The third week of April is Childhood Exposure to Violence Prevention Week, prompting the special art exhibition this past Wednesday.  The exhibition displayed art created by Chicago’s children and youth, ages 0 – 18, exploring the theme, ‘When I Feel Safe, I…’. Youth were asked to explore what it means to feel safe and to think about special people or places in their community that helped them feel protected.St. Luke's member Joe Scarry shares more about his reflections on this event here.Congratulations to all the artists for sharing their reflections on safety through artistic means!
