Community Renewal Society's Annual MLK Day "Faith in Action" Assembly

martin-luther-king21On Monday, January 19th Community Renewal Society is holding its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day "Faith in Action" assembly at Liberty Baptist Church (4849 S. King Drive) from 10am - 12pm. St. Luke's has partnered with CRS on campaigns aimed at eliminating racism and poverty in Chicago, and has been invited to attend this year's assembly once again. This year's assembly will blend public prayer and historical witness to Dr. King's legacy with conversations with city decision makers and a mayoral candidate forum on jobs and public safety. Our attendance at this event will help ensure that community voices are heard by elected officials like Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, and will build power and momentum toward campaigns to prevent violence, fund public education and create jobs.Don’t miss this important opportunity to act for justice! Contact Pastor Erik if you would like to attend this year's CRS assembly with him, and then follow the link below to register for the event.Register Now
