Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance (LSEA) Meeting

On July 28, the Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance (LSEA) met. We reviewed the priorities we had identified in our June meeting, confirming that housing insecurity, poverty and education were still our highest priorities. We also considered other issues that may have become clearer over the past month. We identified racism, incarceration and re-entry, and policing over-reach as possible issues that the LSEA could address. We also began seeing that all the issues we have identified are interrelated and that we needed to “connect the dots” as we move ahead. We participated in a visioning exercise led by Pastor Erik that helped us identify what the “Year of the Lord’s Favor” would look like in Logan Square around the issues we had identified. It was so powerful that we all wanted to do it again and include more of you in the process. The next meeting of the LSEA will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at 6:30 pm. St. Luke’s (2701 N. Francisco) offered to host the meeting. Once again, everyone is encouraged to bring food to share. So save the date & join in the conversation & work of the LSEA!
