"What shall I cry?" | Testimony in Advent

Here at St. Luke's, testimony is one of our central practices. Testimony is a kind of proclamation - both similar to and different from sermons, glossolalia, or homilies - by which hearers can receive a word of truth from God. Practicing testimony means that we believe that God is still speaking through our lived experiences.Testimony enriches our worship and builds community. Sharing a story from your own life is an opportunity to show us who you are, and for us to learn how God's word is being proclaimed in and through your own life story.This Advent season, our testimony series focuses on this theme verse from Isaiah:

A voice says, "Cry out!"And I said, "What shall I cry?"(Isaiah 40:6)
