Reuniting St. Luke’s Update October 2022

At their September meeting, the St. Luke’s Council approved the Reuniting St. Luke’s Task Force’s recommendation that St. Luke’s change our policy for masking during worship.

As a result of this change, masks during worship will be recommended rather than required as of Sunday, October 2, 2022.

This decision took into account various factors, including:

  • the continued reduction in Covid cases in Chicago and Cook County;

  • the lessened severity of the Omicron variant symptoms;

  • the availability of Covid vaccines for children 6 months and older;

  • and the high vaccination rate of the congregation.

We continue to encourage everyone to be vaccinated as recommended for their age group and we ask everyone to stay at home if they are not feeling well.
