Welcome, New Members!
On Sunday, September 11, St. Luke's rejoices to welcome three new members to our community. Say hello when you see them and get to know them. Their presence strengthens the presence of Christ among us.
Fred Kinsey joins our congregation following his recent retirement from the ministry of Word and Sacrament in the ELCA. Now that he isn't working full time as a pastor, he is excited to join his neighborhood church-- he lives just down the street! Ask Fred about community organizing or what new practices he's building in retirement.
Chris Freeh moved to Chicago a few months ago, joining his children and a new grandchild in our great city! Chris has already made his mark on St. Luke's, helping the youth paint the Sunday School room on one of his first weekends here. Ask Chris about his passion for volunteering, or for a story from his time in the auto industry.
Hannah Peterson joins St. Luke's before actually moving to Chicago! Although she currently lives in El Paso, Texas, she has attended worship in person and online on many occasions, and looks forward to participating in embodied community life when she moves to Chicago in 2023. Ask Hannah about playing rugby, discerning a call to ministry, or what she's currently reading.
