God's Holy Darkness Book Event
Join St. Luke's for a conversation about the brand new children's book God's Holy Darkness. We will be joined by co-author Seminarian Sharei Green and illustrator Pastor Nicolette Marie Peñaranda (Faison). Childcare is available and lunch will be served ($10 donation suggested to cover the cost of food). Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
Ministry for the Here and Now
Council has spent much of 2022 reflecting on St. Luke’s current ministry and resources, primarily our financial resources. Today we are writing with an update on how Council is approaching the issue of sustainability at St. Luke’s and our recommendations for ways we might move forward in the short, middle, and long terms with a renewed focus on “Ministry for the Here and Now.”…
Grace and St. Luke’s Coat Exchange
Grace & St. Luke's Coat Exchange
Grace and St. Luke's churches invite our neighbors to a Coat Exchange! This is a great opportunity to get something new-to-you to keep warm this winter. Drop off your excellent condition coat at our church (3325 W Wrightwood) on Sundays, October 16, 23, or 30 and receive a ticket that you can exchange for a new coat during the first hour of the exchange on Sunday, November 6. Or, simply come during the second hour of the exchange on November 6 to take home a coat, even if you didn't bring one. Any coats remaining at the end of the event will be donated.
Collection dates (bring your old coat and get a ticket): Sun Oct 16, 23 & 30 from noon - 2 pm
Event Date (come get a new coat!): Nov 6th, Ticketholders noon-1 pm, non-ticketholders 1pm - 2pm
