Joyce Mylander: A Banquet to Honor 31 Years of Ministry
We may not see her face on Sundays at St. Luke’s, but her presence has always been felt at our services. Joyce has been St. Luke’s secretary for thirty-one years. She has been a guiding light and a beloved member of our family. Her strength, wisdom, and compassion have been invaluable to the life of St. Luke’s and she will be missed!Joyce has decided it is time for her to retire so that she and her husband, Jerry, can enjoy some well-earned time together with family and friends. This now is our opportunity to recognize what she has meant to us. She will always be a member of our family, so it is not goodbye… but a well-deserved Thank You!Friday, March 2, 2012La Villa Banquets3638 N. Pulaski6:30pmOur banquet will be a family style meal with soup, salad, several entrees and dessert. We are suggesting a price of $30.00. Your contributions above and beyond that amount will allow us to purchase a retirement gift for Joyce, and ensure that all who wish to attend the banquet are able to do so.We plan to create a book of memories for Joyce and remind her about all the special moments… if you have such a story or photos that you would like included, please forward them to one of the committee members. It is going to be a very special evening for all of us! We look forward to you joining us.Reservation forms will be included with our Sunday bulletins for the next three weeks, and can also be found online here.
