The Three Days: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil

With nightfall the season of Lent nears its end and we enter the Three Days of our Lord’s passover from death into life: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil. We will gather each night at 7pm for worship that draws us close to the heart of the story of a life whose riches were measured in self-giving, whose death defeated the powers and principalities of this world, and whose rising is made visible in the vocations of all the baptized. The story of these three days is our story. Reborn in the waters of baptism, we are sent into the world for lives of costly service, but we are not sent alone. So we gather on these nights with those who are preparing to receive the gift of baptism to remember a supper spent with friends, testimony offered the face of empire, and the God of salvation whose story is as old as creation.Come away from endless work, frenzied news and frantic warnings. Root yourself in the true source of our hope for salvation, a body politic made up of every living thing, past, present, or future. Rejoice in the reconciliation that has already been accomplished so that you might come out of the tomb of the world’s violent nightmare ready to sing God’s praises and share the good news.Trusting in the resurrection,Pastor ErikThe Three Days / Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil / Worship each Night at 7pm
