St. Luke’s Open to All Today, Beginning at 3pm
We are waking up this morning with new information about our nation, our neighbors, and our future. We cannot make assumptions about how everyone in our community or our country is reacting to this news. Indeed, if last night showed us anything it was how flawed many of our assumptions were.Still, we also know ourselves well enough to know that in our congregation there are deep fears and anxieties about how this decision will affect our children and families, our neighbors and coworkers. For this, we have each other.St. Luke’s will open its doors this afternoon at 3pm to members and friends, strangers and passersby. We will remain open as long as it seems necessary. During that time we will hold the space for silence, for prayer, for testimony, for singing, for worship. Please give thought to whether this might be a balm for your soul today, or whether your presence might be a visible sign of reassurance for your friends and neighbors.
